Romania takes over, first-ever, presidency of Peacebuilding Commission within UN
Publicat:Romania is taking over on Wednesday, for one year, the presidency of the Peacebuilding Commission (PBC) within the United Nations, the Foreign Affairs Ministry (MAE) informs in a press release sent to AGERPRES.
The leadership of the Commission will be assured, according to procedural rules, by Romania's permanent representative to the UN, Ambassador Ion Jinga. Romania was elected in 2017 as member of the Peacebuilding Commission and has actually taken office as of 1 January 2018.
