The general government debt fell to 724.76 billion lei in June 2023, from 731.28 billion lei in the previous month, according to data the Finance Ministry (MF) released on Wednesday, told Agerpres.
As GDP percentage, government debt went down to 49.7% from 50.1% in May 2023.
In June, medium- and long-term debt reduced to 695.23 billion lei from 697.84 billion lei in May 2023, while short-term debt fell to 29.53 billion lei from 33.44 billion lei in the previous month.
