Road freight transport up 15.4pct in Jan-Sep 2021, rail transport up 18.1pct
Publicat:The volume of goods transported by road increased by 15.4% in the first nine months of 2021 compared to the same period of the previous year, while rail transport had an advance of 18.1%, according to data centralized by the National Institute of Statistics (INS), agerpres reports. Out of the total of 223.062 million tonnes of goods transported by road, 81.9% were recorded in national transport, which marked an increase of 16.5% compared to the same period of the previous year. Freight transport increased by 11.3%, with an increase of 15.6% in national transport.
