Florin Citu announces support for lowering voting age to 16
Publicat:The President of the Senate, Liberal leader Florin Citu, answered yes to a question regarding the possibility for the voting age to be lowered to 16, mentioning that an amendment of the Constitution in this sense would be a good thing, agerpres reports. "We see, for example, that in the EU the age for voters is lowered to 16 (...) From my point of view, yes. I believe it's a good thing," said Citu, when asked about the possibility of amending the Constitution by the current National Liberal Party - Social Democrat Party - Hungarian Democratic Union of Romania (PNL-PSD-UDMR) coalition.
