UPDATE- Mircea Basescu was sentenced to serve four years in prison in the case file in which he stood trial for influence pedaling.
The ex-president ‘s brother was accused of having received 250.000 euro from the family of Bercea Mondial to intervene with the judges in order for them to rule a favorable sentence in the case file in which he was tried for attempted murder.
Marian Capațana,the one who brokered the receipt of the bribe, was sentenced to serve three years in jail for accessory to influence pedaling.
