Criteria for community transmission of Omicron variant at national level have been met (INSP)

The National Institute of Public Health (INSP) reported on Tuesday that the criteria for significant community transmission of the Omicron variant of the SARS-CoV-2 virus at the national level have been met, Agerpres reports. According to INSP, in the week of January 3-9, 203 cases with the Omicron variant were confirmed.

As of January 9, 295 Omicron cases have been confirmed: 28.1% (83 cases) have a travel history to the UK (32), Italy (11), (8), Tanzania (6), Nigeria (5), Spain (4), USA (3), Austria (2), Bulgaria (2), UAE (2), France (2), Belgium (1), Cyprus (1), Mexico
