President Iohannis: Democratic values, civic space, freedom of media under pressure on European continent
Publicat:President Klaus Iohannis, attending the Summit of heads of State and government of the Council of Europe member states, said that democratic values are under pressure on the European continent, which is why it is more important than ever to invest in resilient democracies capable of protecting fundamental rights.
The remarks were made at the start of the roundtable on "Safeguarding democracy in testing times - risks, resilience and recommitment", held at the summit in Reykjavik, Iceland.
