Romania's Ruse advances to quarter finals of ITF tournament in Yokohama

Romanian tennis player qualified on Thursday for the women's singles quarter finals and in the women's doubles semifinals of the ITF tournament in Yokohama (Japan), with prizes worth 25,000 US dollar.

Ruse (aged 21, WTA's 253rd), managed to defeat UK's (aged 24, WTA's 296th) in the round of 16 in one hour and 24 minutes, 7-5, 6-3, scoring 5 aces and 5 doubles errors.

In the quarter finals, the Romanian national will face off Japan's (aged 18, WTA's 612nd).

Ruse also qualified for the women's doubles semifinals, alongside UK's Gabriella
