Romania's Buzarnescu advances to Hungarian Ladies Open singles R16
Publicat:Romanian tennis player Mihaela Buzarnescu on Tuesday advanced to the women's singles R16 of the 226,750-USD Hungarian Ladies Open after defeating Spain's Lara Arruabarrena Vecino 7-6 (5) 6- 1.
Buzarnescu, 29, world number 39 and fifth seeded of the tournament, prevailed in an hour and 48 minutes.
For her performance so far, Buzarnescu won 3,400 US dollars and 30 WTA singles points, and in the next round she plays 23-year-old Belgian Alison van Uytvanck, world number 80.
