Giurgiu farmers cut out the middleman

 Vegetable growers have turned into business owners. Farmers in had enough of go-betweens and their low acquisition prices, so they set up their own firms.

Starting today, they will supply the big supermarket chains in Bucharest themselves. By cutting out the middleman, shelf prices of vegetables may go down by as much as 30 per cent.
