Electricity consumption up by 4.7 pct January through November 2021

The country's national electricity consumption was 4.7 pct higher in the first 11 months of 2021, compared to the corresponding period of 2020, reaching 50.818 billion kWh, according to data published on Friday by the of Statistics (INS), Agerpres reports. The population's consumption increased the most, by 6.9 pct, followed by public lighting by 5 pct and industrial consumption, which increased by 3.9 pct. Own technological consumption in networks and stations was 4.855 billion kWh, increasing by 136.3 million kWh (+2.9 pct).
