President Iohannis files constitutional challenge to repeal of indicted public servants' suspension from office
Publicat:President Klaus Iohannis sent on Monday to the Constitutional Court of Romania a challenge to the Law amending and supplementing Law No. 188/1999 on the public servants' statutes. The respective piece of regulation maintains the repeal of the provision according to which public servants who are indicted for various crimes - corruption and malfeasance on the job included - are suspended from office.
