Child Protection Authority: 7,815 child abuse, neglect or exploitation cases reported in H1
Publicat:The National Child Protection and Adoption Authority (ANPDCA) had 7,815 cases of child abuse, neglect or exploitation reported in H1 2018; of these, 3,473 were registered in urban areas and 4,342 in rural communities.
According to ANPDCA statistics, neglect accounted for the bulk of the offences against children - 5,594, with 3,190 thereof in rural areas. As many as 3,504 cases were closed in H1 and in 92 such cases the perpetrators were prosecuted.
