Buzau, largest Romanian city located halfway between Ecuador and North Pole, says Mayor
Publicat:A recent geographical discovery shows that the Buzau municipality is the largest of the Romanian cities located halfway between the North Pole and the Ecuador, which could be exploited for tourism purposes, the Mayor of this locality, Constantin Toma, made an announcement on Monday.
"On the National Day [of Romania, December 1 - editor's note] I received a letter from a famous geographer, Alexandru Boroiu, from the Pitesti University, who claims that Buzau is the largest of the Romanian cities located halfway between the North Pole and the Ecuador," the Mayor told AGERPRES.
