Romania, biggest plum producer of EU, says Eurostat
Publicat:Romania is the only EU member state with the agricultural sector main employer, ensuring jobs for one quarter of the employees, while as regards the production sector, our country is the biggest plum producer in the EU, say the data provided on Friday by the EU official statistical institution Eurostat.
According to these data, Romania covers 1.1pct of the EU's GDP, 3.8pct of the EU's population and 5.3pct of the EU's surface.
