Daniel Horodniceanu, Gabriela Scutea, two more candidates vying for AG position
Publicat:Former head of the Directorate for Investigating Organised Crime and Terrorism (DIICOT) Daniel Horodniceanu has applied for the position of Romania's attorney general.
Horodniceanu told AGERPRES that he had sent the documents by mail to the Ministry of Justice.
He ran for a second term at the helm of DIICOT, but his bid was denied by Justice Minister Tudorel Toader. At the same time, Horodniceanu is also a candidate for the position of European prosecutor on behalf of Romania.
