COVID-19 new cases record from pandemic's beginning, 19,685, in over 62k tests in past 24 hrs
Publicat:As many as 19,685 new cases of people infected with SARS-CoV-2 were recorded in the last 24 hours, 7,603 more than the previous day, with more than 62,000 tests being performed, the Strategic Communication Group (GCS) reported on Tuesday.
It is a new record of the number of infections since the beginning of the pandemic in Romania. The previous one was 19,649 cases, recorded on Friday - January 21.
Of the new cases, 1,740 are in reinfected patients, tested positive for a period longer than 180 days after the first infection. In the last 24 hours, 20,524 RT-PCR tests were performed…
