Romania's electricity price 25 pct below regional average

The price of electricity on Romania's energy exchange this Tuesday was the lowest of the markets Romania is interconnected with, standing even 25 percent lower at peak consumption hours, shows data posted on the website of market operator OPCOM. 
The day-ahead electricity price in Romania averaged at 40.95 euro per MWh for the entire day. 

For a comparison, in Hungary the price was 55.84 euro per MWh, in Slovakia - 55.57 euro per MWh, and in the it was 55.57 euro per MWh. 

The difference was even higher during peak consumption hours (9:00 - 20:00 hrs).…
