Romania's employment rate drops to 60.8 pct in Q1 2021
Publicat:The employment rate for Romania's working age population (15 - 64 years) in Q1 2021 was 60.8 percent, down from 65.8 percent in the previous quarter, while the unemployment rate advanced to 6.1 percent from 5.2 percent, shows data released on Friday by the National Institute of Statistics (INS).
The employment rate was higher for men (70.3 percent compared to 51 percent for female employment), as was the urban employment rate (66.5 percent compared to 54 percent in rural areas).
