The National Bank of Romania, as of 20 November 2023, will put into circulation for numismatic purposes a gold coin dedicated to 200 years since the birth of Lascar Catargiu.
The coin has a face value of RON 100, round shape, 21 mm diameter and it will weight 6,452 g.
The obverse of the coin will show Lascar Catargiu's statue in Bucharest, the inscription 'ROMANIA' in an arc, the coat of arms of Romania, the year of issue '2023' and the face value '100 LEI'.
